The architect was tasked with designing a facade on a relatively tight budget, without sacrificing architectural quality. Accordingly, the street facades were designed with a more expensive finish than the courtyard facades.
Design principles
The emphasis on the base of the complex provides structure to its composition. The facade glazing was increased on the upper floors of the complex as they are intended to accommodate large loft-style apartments.
